Our Story
Some love stories begin with grand gestures. Ours began with a shared address.
Small Beginnings
Paulo came to Cebu for work. Mikki was already there, building her own life alongside her twin sister. Neither had much of a circle in the city yet, so naturally, they started exploring it together.
One café led to another. Dinners stretched past midnight. Somewhere in between, without either of them quite noticing, a friendship took hold.
Finding Home
"What looked like the end of one chapter turned out to be the start of something else entirely."
Life eventually brought them both back to Manila. They found each other again, and it was as if no time had passed. Except that something had shifted. Conversations felt different. Time together became something they sought out rather than stumbled into.
Friendship became more. The rest followed naturally.
Back in Manila, they claimed the city as their own. New corners, new restaurants, new reasons to spend time together. The city they had both known separately became the city they discovered together.
Exploring the World
"Wherever they went, they went together."
Vietnam. India. South Korea in the middle of winter, in full hanbok. Each trip was different, but the feeling was always the same. The best part of going somewhere new was having the same person to share it with.
A Place We Always Return To
"Of all the places they've been, one has always felt like theirs."
Japan has a way of becoming personal. Since they started dating, they've come back every year. Different seasons, different cities, always the same pull. It stopped being a destination a long time ago.
Japan — A Return Every Year
The Proposal
"He chose the place that meant the most to both of them."
Paulo got down on one knee in Kyoto, in the gardens of the Imperial Palace. Somewhere they had walked together before, and would walk again. She said yes.
Forever Begins
None of it was part of a plan. A shared building in Cebu, a reunion in Manila, a few years of wandering the world together. Small things, most of them. Until they weren't.
From Cebu to everywhere in between, their greatest adventure has always been each other.
